The following briefly describes RPMotion Therapy's areas of focus:

Sports Soft Tissue Therapy is a type of soft tissue therapy designed for highly active people who engage in athletics.  Engaging in sports is harsh on the body and can often lead to injuries in both the short and long term.  Sports soft tissue therapy enhances performance and prolongs a sports career by helping to prevent injury, reduce pain and swelling in the body, relax the mind, increase flexibility, and dramatically improve recovery rates.  It is also highly effective in aiding the rapid recovery of an athlete from an injury by encouraging greater kinesthetic awareness and in turn promoting the body’s natural immune function.

Deep Tissue Therapy is a form of bodywork that is designed for more focused massage work. Working a specific muscle or muscle group, the practitioner can access deeper layers of the soft tissue. Starting superficially and easing into the depth of the muscle slowly often allows more movement.  Deep Tissue Therapy is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure the pressure is not applied too deeply or too quickly.  As a result, the muscle may tighten to protect that area and unnecessary damage or inflammation can be induced.

Fascial Stretch Therapy™ (FST™) is a revolutionary pain free method of assisted stretching that creates lasting change in the body. It can help to reduce or eliminate tight muscles and or stiff joints that are caused from our tissue being under stress from poor posture, injury, lack of exercise or over training. FST™ focuses on lengthening and re-aligning the body to relieve pain, improve performance and achieve flexibility and strength. We ask that our clients wear loose-fitting or athletic clothing to have a comfortable and relaxing experience.

Kinesio Taping® Method is a definitive rehabilitative taping technique that is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while providing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion as well as providing extended soft tissue manipulation to prolong the benefits of manual therapy administered within the clinical setting. Latex-free and wearable for days at a time, Kinesio® Tex Tape is safe for populations ranging from pediatric to geriatric, and successfully treats a variety of orthopedic, neuromuscular, neurological and other medical conditions. The Kinesio® Taping Method is a therapeutic taping technique not only offering our clients the support they are looking for, but also rehabilitating the affected condition as well. By targeting different receptors within the somatosensory system, Kinesio® Tex Tape alleviates pain and facilitates lymphatic drainage by microscopically lifting the skin.  This lifting affect forms convolutions in the skin thus increasing interstitial space and allowing for a decrease in inflammation of the affected areas.

Kinesio® Tex Tape is used to

  • Re-educate the neuromuscular system
  • Reduce pain
  • Enhance performance
  • Prevent injury
  • Promote improved circulation and healing
